How to Sell Products Online - Credit Card Logos

There are 3 options available to you when selling your products online.

  1.  Create a product page using the visual page designer and simply add text and images of the products you are selling. Visitors can contact you via phone or your web site contact form to get more info or prices. This option alone is not ideal if you would like clients to pay via credit card. To create a product page: Create a new Page in the “Pages” menu, then add this page to your web site menu, then edit this page with the visual designer to create a products page.
  2. Showcase your products using an image gallery. This option is best suited where you are showcasing example work – e.g. photos, previous project work etc. This option is not ideal if you would like clients to pay via credit card. Visitors can contact you via phone or your web site contact form to get more info or prices. Go to the Album & Image Gallery guide to setup an image gallery.
  3. Setup your products using the built in shopping cart. This allows you to easily add new products and your products can be sold online. The cart will send you email orders so you know when someone has made a purchase. The cart can also be configured to hide prices or to not allow payment via credit card – this mode is known as catalog mode. Go to Checklist – Shopping Cart to setup a shopping cart.

Important: Any of the above options can be used together. e.g.  An image gallery can be used to showcase your work and if a client would like to purchase an item, they can do this via your shop. A “Gallery” menu and “Shop” menu can therefore be used together to allow clients to view and purchase products on your web site.

The following guide should help you make a better decision on how to setup your products:

Do you want clients to pay you via credit card on your web site?

Yes: Add your products to the built in shopping cart. Once your products are added, we will assist you and integrate the cart with a payment gateway.

No: Create a page or image gallery showcasing your products.

Do you want clients to pay you via credit card on your web site in the future?

Yes: Add your products to the built in shopping cart and put the cart into “catalog mode”. In this mode visitors can only send you orders (they cant pay you via credit card) – you can also hide prices. If you choose this option, it will save you having to rework the page or gallery you created earlier.

No: Create a page or image gallery showcasing your products.
